WORLDSKILLS – DEMONSTRATES THE VALUE OF SKILLS AND INCREASES THE RECOGNITION OF QUALIFIED SPECIALISTS WORLDWIDE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MOVEMENT IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND THE PROMOTION OF THE STATUS OF PROFESSIONS.

Skills are the basis of modern life, which is the driving force for the prosperity of industry and economics. WorldSkills unites youth specialties directions to give an opportunity to express themselves, and to learn how to become the best in their choice of professions. The vision and goal of Worldskills is the modernization of professional skills through interaction and support of business partners, industries, government, volunteers and educational institutions. This movement is aimed to increase professional skills of young people from traditional occupations to multidisciplinary technological careers. All this shows us the need for qualified specialists in different industries and service sectors. The need for vocational training for young people is a quality for a prosperous future.

The legacy of WorldSkills is to give visibility and importance to vocational education as an instrument for social-economic transformation. Participants in the competition represent the best of their peers and are selected for the mastery competitions in their countries using WorldSkills standards.

The WorldSkills Championship is a popular and well-known event, where young specialists, students from colleges and universities, specialists from different industries, mentors and experts take part. The event demonstrates the technical abilities and knowledge of both individually and collectively performing specific tasks. Participants of this competition are selected from the national championship of professional skills. WorldSkills World Championship is held every two years, this event takes place in different countries, and leading companies and industries from all directions from industry to services, as well as governments, volunteers and educational institutions take an active part.
